In stark contrast to the business successes, the experiences of undocumented workers are filled with a spectrum of challenges. Many, like Langang, an undocumented worker who arrived seven years ago, face daily hardships just to survive. Living conditions can be dire; workers often share cramped quarters with little privacy, crowded into "tapous," the local term for makeshift dormitories.
