Part 2/4:
KFC: Beef Burgers and Entire Chickens
Venturing into KFC, I encountered an even more radical departure from the American fast food experience. Instead of the classic fried chicken, the menu featured beef burgers - a concept that seemed almost sacrilegious in the home of the Colonel's secret recipe.
But the real surprise came when I ordered an entire fried chicken, delivered fresh from another KFC location. This chicken, seasoned with a blend of Chinese spices, was a revelation. The crispy skin and juicy meat were a far cry from the oversized, mass-produced birds we're used to in the States.
