Part 4/9:
The Mickey beignet is a disappointment. The peach flavor tastes artificial, and the plain version is just bland, with no salt or sugar in the dough. I give the peach a 2/10 and the plain a 3/10.
The mint julep, on the other hand, is refreshing, with a nice lemon-mint flavor. I score it a 5/10, while Nico gives it a 6/10.
The gumbo and cornbread from Tiana's Palace are a pleasant surprise. The gumbo is well-seasoned, with juicy chicken and spicy sausage. The cornbread is also nicely done. I give it an 8/10, while Nico scores it a 7.5/10.
The waffle Crista, a Monte Cristo-inspired waffle sandwich with ham and cheese, is a miss. The flavors don't work together, and the ham is too dry. I give it a 4/10, while Nico scores it a 6.5/10.
