While the concept of an "Elon premium" on Tesla's stock is intriguing, the reality is that the company deserves the premium. Musk's influence on the President to scrap the tax credits will make it more challenging for legacy automakers to compete with Tesla. We'll soon see how well the electric divisions of these traditional automakers can handle the end of these tax credits, with GM potentially faring better than Ford in this regard.
