Part A Premiums and Costs
99% of Americans pay $0 in Part A premiums, as long as they or their spouse have worked at least 40 quarters (10 years) and contributed to Medicare through taxes.
For those with 30-39 quarters of work credits, the Part A premium is now $285 per month, up $7 from 2024.
For those with fewer than 30 quarters, the Part A premium is now $518 per month, up $13 from 2024.
The Part A deductible increases to $1,676, up $44 from 2024.
The co-pay for days 61-90 in the hospital is now $419 per day, up $11.
The co-pay for lifetime reserve days (91-150) is now $838 per day, up $22.
The co-pay for days 21-100 in a skilled nursing facility is now $29.50 per day, up $5.50.
