Florida Weather Update: Transitioning into Winter

As the calendar marks the arrival of winter this Saturday, Florida is bracing itself for a significant drop in temperature, with the coldest morning in the upcoming week expected on the first day of the season.

Cold Front Arrival

The state is currently experiencing the first of two cold fronts making their way down through the region. Originally entering Florida from the north earlier in the day, the front is now clearing the area, ushering in cooler, drier air. The winds are shifting direction to a cooler north, promising a change in weather conditions. Skies over local beaches, such as Jupiter Beach, remain mostly clear, which provides a picturesque view, though wave heights are expected to increase slightly over the coming days.
