As the scientific community delved deeper into the complexities of the universe, the potential for extra dimensions gained traction once again. Concepts from string theory posited that foundational particles are essentially one-dimensional strings vibrating through multi-dimensional spaces. This necessitated the inclusion of additional spatial dimensions, eventually leading researchers to posit up to 26 dimensions.
In 1995, physicist Edward Witten obliquely condensed various string theories into a coherent framework known as M Theory, which defined 11 dimensions—10 spatial and one temporal. But the question remains—if these dimensions exist, where might they be hidden?
