Many Worlds Interpretation and its Implications
The authors of the recent paper situate their argument within the Many Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics. Here, the quandary manifests differently: if the cat is dead in one universe, it must be alive in another. Consequently, the lingering question is why no universe exists where the cat is both dead and alive. The concept of a "quantum vet" selecting the permissible states is an absurdity that the physicists grapple with in their investigation.
