After our shopping excursion, we recharged at a charming café that was surprisingly vibrant. It was comforting to witness our children embrace the local flavors, even if the prevalence of insects still filled them with unease. It was clear that these unique experiences were far removed from their familiar routines back home.
Cultural Immersion: Craft Markets and Neighborhoods
The journey took us to Bogala Craft Market, where local artisans showcased their work. Surrounded by vibrant paintings, crafts, and textiles, our family split up to explore and bargain. This experience was both thrilling and daunting as the absence of price tags led to the potential for being overcharged. With persistence, and a sense of humor, we were able to find some treasures to take home.
