The introduction of the Lagos Blue Line metro system has provided an alternative for mass transit, facilitating movement across the congested city.
However, decades of neglect mean that the city is continually playing a game of catch-up. Projections estimate Lagos's population could surpass 40 million by 2050, which poses significant threats to its already fragile infrastructure.
