Legend has it that when a customer rushed in, the restaurant transformed a steak meal into a portable delight by serving it on toast. The original burgers were simple: just meat and bread, served without any frills. In recreating this iconic burger, a vertical broiler traditionally used has been substituted with improvised cooling racks.
