Critics point out that these young players, often scouted for their talent at a young age, miss out on rigorous training processes. Instead of being subjected to traditional rites of passage, they are treated as "lotto tickets" — with the sole goal being their immediate transition to the NBA by the age of 19. As a result, many of these players enter the league devoid of fundamental skills.
