The journey begins with the cleaning of the mold from the previous production run. A thorough cleaning is critical to ensure that there is no contamination affecting the new concrete mixture. Once cleaned, the reinforcement bars are assembled and prepared for installation alongside steel strands known as "hilos".
It is essential to understand the difference between the reinforcement bars and the steel threads. The latter plays a crucial role in enhancing the structural integrity of the concrete slab. After assembly, the steel threads are installed into the mold. The next step involves tensioning these threads to a high degree of stress, a process which significantly contributes to the durability of the finished concrete.
