Behind me lies a colossal endeavor, the largest earth moving project on the East Coast. The scale is staggering; from this vantage point, you can see an array of heavy machinery at work: Hitachi excavators, John Deere machines, and more, all contributing to what is turning out to be the most significant earthworks operation east of the Mississippi River.

As government spending bills such as the CHIPS Act fuel new mega projects, operations of this magnitude have become increasingly common. Our journey brought us to the site of Scout Motors’ new manufacturing plant in South Carolina, where Landmark Construction is leading the charge.
