An alarming statistic reveals that more than 50% of Americans have less than $10,000 saved for retirement. Furthermore, about 20% hold between $10,000 and $100,000, making it evident that a staggering 80% of individuals are not adequately prepared for retirement. Only a little over 3% of the population has managed to save a million dollars or more, which is often perceived as the benchmark required for a comfortable retirement.
