Part 4/10:
With the second overall pick, the Green Bay Packers took offensive tackle Tony Mandarich from Michigan State, who was dubbed “The Incredible Bulk.” Mandarich arrived with immense hype but quickly became one of the biggest draft busts in NFL history. His success at college was overshadowed by off-field distractions, including allegations of steroid use and struggles with addiction.
Mandarich's failure to adapt to the NFL resulted in lackluster performances, leading many to label him a disappointment. Though he managed to find some success after leaving Green Bay and played with the Indianapolis Colts, his initial promise and the expectations surrounding him ultimately led to a disappointment for Packers fans.
