Opel is collaborating with a French company to introduce a new 4x4 version of its commercial van, the Combo. Unlike traditional models, the Combo 4x4 utilizes a self-contained e-axle unit that activates when wheel slip is detected. Coupled with a 130 horsepower diesel engine and a 48-volt battery pack, the system offers enhanced off-road capability with added protections for key components. This upgraded version is expected to add around €9,250 to the base price.
