Part 2/19:
Socrates, born in Athens around 469 B.C., is often regarded as one of the most influential figures in Western philosophy. He is celebrated for his contributions to ethics and epistemology, primarily through the development of the Socratic method, a dialectical approach that emphasizes questioning and critical analysis. Socrates believed that true wisdom came from self-examination and famously declared, “The unexamined life is not worth living.”
