Presidential Memorandum on Aviation Safety
Following the appointment, a presidential memorandum was presented, titled “Immediate Assessment of Aviation Safety.” The memorandum served as a directive for the Secretary of Transportation and the newly appointed acting FAA Administrator to assess the damage caused to aviation safety by the previous administration's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies. The aim is to reverse these policies and ensure that hiring within the FAA prioritizes competence and capability above all else.
