When asked whether we could ever see the Big Bang itself, Cox explained that we almost can, through something called cosmic microwave background radiation. However, due to the extreme conditions in the universe's infancy—where light could not travel freely—our understanding remains limited to radiation emitted 380,000 years after the Big Bang.
Cox suggests that emerging technologies, such as those detecting colliding black holes, might one day enable us to investigate the very origins of the universe further, potentially shedding light on profound questions regarding the inception of time itself.
