Part 2/9:
Fast and Loud emerged as a result of Richard Rawlings’ love for cars, a passion instilled in him during his formative years in Fort Worth, Texas. After selling his printing company in 2002, Rawlings opened Gas Monkey Garage, a haven for classic car enthusiasts. His talent for restoring and customizing vehicles caught the attention of the Discovery Channel, which eventually led to the show's creation. The concept of turning worn-out cars into profit-bearing masterpieces indeed appealed to a wide audience, and soon Fast and Loud became a staple among reality shows.
