In examining AMD specifically, it is acknowledged that their hardware is competent, and in some respects, even superior to NVIDIA's offerings. However, the significant hurdle lies in their software infrastructure. AMD has historically struggled with software optimization, directly impacting their ability to compete effectively in high-performance applications. Although there are signs of improvement, the software gap remains substantial. During collaborative efforts with AMD, numerous bugs were reported—indicative of deeper systemic issues within their production pipeline and customer support. This has resulted in a technological divide, with AMD focusing primarily on their largest clients, rather than addressing the needs of broader, less visible user bases.
