Yet, in acknowledging this loneliness, I’ve sought connection in new ways. Simple exchanges with neighbors, writing letters to old friends, and sharing my stories with grandchildren provide glimmers of warmth in an otherwise chilly reality. Though loneliness is inevitable, it does not overshadow life’s potential for connection and beauty.
Death: The Unanswerable Question
Throughout my life, I've grappled with the concept of death. In my younger years, I wrote about it, even detailing a fearlessness towards its finality. However, as I approach the end of my days, the unknown looms larger. The idea of ceasing to exist raises questions I cannot escape. It causes me to lie awake at night, pondering what comes after, and the possibility of fading into oblivion.
