What scares me is not the pain of dying, but the thought of not leaving an imprint on this world. Will memories of me linger in the hearts of those I love? Will the laughter we shared resonate in their futures? My earlier beliefs about death have evolved; it’s about what we leave behind, not merely the transition itself.
As difficult as it is to accept mortality, I’ve realized the importance of making peace with life before it ends. Expressing love, forgiveness, and gratitude to those around us becomes paramount. These moments of connection enrich our experiences and anchor us to the lives we’ve lived.
