As I ventured outside of the city, I explored several forts built during the Prussian period, remnants that have become symbols of the region's millennia-long strategic importance. The complex fortifications are testament to the battles fought here and have evolved into ghostly monuments of the past.
In surrounding areas, such as the village of Vladimirova, I found historical churches that once stood as centers of community life but now reflect the wear and tear of time and neglect. These sites tell stories of resilience, having survived wars, yet they remain inaccessible or are crumbling.
