As they rely heavily on digital interactions and social media, many express genuine concern over their ability to engage genuinely with colleagues in a physical workspace.
Employers have begun to notice this disconnect, recognizing that even a collective shift in social norms isn’t adequate to overcome the peculiarities introduced by COVID-19. The resulting polarization has led some employers to realize that while they may prefer Gen Z's boldness and fresh perspectives, the adjustment period required to integrate them into traditional roles can be arduous.
