The Metro's modern stations stand in stark contrast to the simplicity of older designs. At Ganga North Station, I witnessed the integration of technology such as AC preferences for passengers and automated station recognition through mapping applications. Notably, the introduction of face recognition systems for exiting the subway left me with a mix of awe and unease.
Shenzhen has also pioneered the transition to fully electric public buses and taxis, significantly reducing noise pollution. The city's focus on electric vehicles (EVs) extends even to taxis and ride-hailing services, where I encountered the fascinating concept of Robo-taxis, albeit with safety drivers present until they can operate independently.
