The Addition of Dennis Schröder
In an attempt to address their scoring issue, the Warriors acquired Dennis Schröder, who was, at the time, producing impressive career-high numbers. The logic was sound; adding a near 20-point-per-game scorer should relieve some of the burden from Curry. Unfortunately, this acquisition didn't go as planned. Schröder struggled to find his rhythm with the Warriors, losing his efficiency and offensive mindset. The team now faced the same problem: an over-reliance on Curry, while Schröder's inability to perform only deepened the issue.
