Before diving into any major restoration work, a thorough inspection was essential. A peek inside the air filter revealed the unfortunate reality of rodent activity, and further investigation into the gas tank indicated the presence of old fuel. Fortunately, I ordered a new gas cap from Yamaha, ensuring our tank would be leak-free moving forward.
As we cleaned the bike, nostalgia washed over us, especially with the visual transformations happening. The MX250 was beginning to show its potential, its parts cleaning up nicely under our work.
