Disappointment with the Giants
Fast forward to Daboll’s time with the Giants, and the narrative appears to have taken a disappointing turn. In his first year, while the team averaged 21.5 points per game, it was actually Mike Kafka, the offensive coordinator, who called the plays. The year that followed witnessed a decline, with injuries and a struggling offense resulting in an abysmal average of 15.6 points per game.
Most startling is the current season, where the Giants have averaged just 14.1 points, again ranking them 30th overall. For a coach touted as an offensive expert, these results are disheartening, raising questions about his true competency and ability to elevate the team’s performance.
