The operations continued as the Allies pushed eastward. The Ghost Army, sometimes referred to as a traveling roadshow, would deploy in liberated towns, projecting false troop movements and misleading information to confuse enemy spies and collaborators. Their efforts peaked during the summer of 1944, assisting in critical operations with minimal casualties, and generating the illusion of larger forces where few existed.

One of their most significant contributions, Operation Viersen, took place just before the crucial Rhine River crossing in the spring of 1945. They skillfully created a false military buildup to mislead German defenses, allowing the real Allied forces to cross with little resistance.
