The speaker reflects on a pivotal moment while filming No Way Out. The circumstances put him at a desk, but instinct told him that the scene didn’t belong there. He knew the gravity of the moment: receiving a phone call at three in the morning about the death of a girlfriend. In light of this, being positioned at a desk felt disingenuous. The character making the call had previously treated him poorly, and now the expectation was for him to be seated behind a desk like it was business as usual.
