In contrast, the vision of general AI (AGI) poses profound implications—an AI that can learn, think, and reason across a wide array of disciplines just like humans. AGI could revolutionize fields varying from science to the arts, potentially enabling machines to develop their own motivations and goals. However, AGI is still a theoretical concept that many experts believe is decades, if not centuries, away.
