Part 2/10:
The inception of Supertramp dates back to 1969, driven by an advertisement placed by keyboardist Rick Davies seeking fellow musicians. This call attracted a variety of talented individuals, including Hodgson, whose contrasting musical background complemented Davies' blues and jazz influences. With the addition of bassist Dougie Thompson, drummer Bob Siebenberg, and saxophonist John Helwell, they formed what would be recognized as the classic Supertramp lineup.
