Part 7/10:
Post-split, the two musicians embarked on divergent paths. Hodgson's solo career thrived with his 1984 album In the Eye of the Storm, while Davies kept Supertramp alive by touring with new members. However, attempts to distance themselves from Hodgson’s iconic compositions proved futile, and public demand for his songs forced Supertramp to reacquaint with Hodgson's hits in their setlists.
The complex relationship between the two continued to haunt them over the ensuing decades. Occasional reunions, including a hopeful performance in 1993, were inevitably derailed by managerial disagreements and lingering resentment.
