As the sessions progressed, conflicts began to appear. Daisley noted that when Ozzy resurfaced in the studio, he was heavily drinking again and sought to overhaul the arrangements of songs, causing frustration among the other musicians. This led to disharmony, with Daisley eventually leaving the project due to a fallout. Despite this, he stayed involved by writing lyrics for the songs after receiving a last-minute phone call from Osbourne after the departure of another bassist, Phil Soussan.
The situation was further complicated by a lack of proper credits; Daisley discovered that the first batch of album pressings had shipped without crediting him, leading to long-term frustrations.
