Rockwell's death did not end the movement he had cultivated. His successors, like Mattias Koehl, formed new organizations that continued promoting his ideals, although many of the groups that emerged eventually faded into obscurity. Noteworthy is how Rockwell's rhetoric laid the groundwork for future iterations of white supremacy and latent fascist ideologies in America.
Though his American Nazi Party did not engage heavily in overt violence, it inspired a generation of white nationalists by normalizing extremist ideologies in the face of a rapidly changing social landscape. Rockwell's influence can still be felt today, as various groups—new and old—carry on the message of hate he once championed, adapting it to fit contemporary narratives.
