Part 2/8:
On June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman were murdered outside Nicole’s home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. The response from law enforcement was characterized by critical oversights. Mistakes in evidence collection and the failure to interview witnesses compromised the strength of the prosecution’s case. Various eyewitnesses familiar with the timeline surrounding the murders, like actress Julie "Tawny" Kitaen and neighbor Jill Shively, were never called to testify. Their accounts would have provided important context leading up to and following the double homicide.
