Iclal's journey began in 2016, and unlike many who pursue formal education abroad, she has only spent a couple of days in France and Belgium, along with a brief visit to French-speaking Switzerland. She pointed out that a lack of formal training should not deter anyone from achieving fluency. As of now, she has achieved both C1 and C2 certifications in French, illustrating an inspiring commitment to mastering the language.
The Struggles of Self-Directed Learning
At the outset, Iclal's approach to learning French was somewhat ineffective. During her initial two to three years, her vocabulary was limited, and her methods mirrored that of a toddler acquiring language through passive listening. It wasn't until 2018 that she made a pivotal shift towards more structured learning.
