One of the key observations made was the closed nature of opportunities within a society consisting of men and women. When opportunities are created and expanded for one gender, it could, by default, create disadvantages for the other. Therefore, as opportunities flourished for women in educational and professional settings, it has unearthed a gap where many young men find themselves struggling.
Educational systems, historically designed with a male-oriented perspective, are now perceived to favor women, especially as male representation in teaching and coaching diminishes. The argument made during the discussion suggested that the inherent biases in the education system result in a de facto discrimination against boys—particularly in disciplinary measures.
