The educational system under Mussolini was revamped to indoctrinate girls with the belief that their rightful place was in the home. Instead of comprehensive subjects, girls were trained in domestic skills, reinforcing the idea that motherhood was their primary role.
The regime organized specific programs through initiatives like the ONMI (National Organization for the Protection of Mothers and Infants) to prepare young women for roles as wives and mothers, while political voices advocating for women's rights were silenced or ignored.
