Modern humans, as we know them, have been around for approximately 315,000 years, far predating any recognized civilization. The prevailing theory is that civilization emerged due to a warming climate following the last Ice Age, which facilitated agriculture, writing, and urban development. However, this phenomenon is not unique to today; previous warm interglacial periods existed, notably the Eemian period, which occurred around 130,000 to 115,000 years ago.
Given optimal conditions during the Eemian, the question arises: Why didn't civilization develop then? With humanity having been present for hundreds of thousands of years, it seems plausible that civilization may have flourished long before recorded history began.
