While Towns was essential, he was not alone in this effort. Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby contributed greatly to the Knicks' success through both scoring and defense. Bridges, particularly, demonstrated his grit by bouncing back after struggling for most of the game. Despite starting off slow with just one field goal in the first three quarters, his timely back-to-back three-pointers ignited a crucial response from the Knicks when they were trailing by ten. His defense against Cade Cunningham was also significant, despite the latter's triple-double; however, it was noted that Cunningham also struggled with seven turnovers.
