The question remains: will the needed train connections be realized? Building the necessary infrastructure for the Sunshine Corridor requires not only significant funding but also navigating through regulatory processes. The project needs a Federal Transit Administration grant and a project development and environmental study, which adds an additional two years and costs $6 million. So far, various local governments and Universal have pitched in funds to help, but a million-dollar gap remains.
