The spotlight was cast on Jayson Tatum, who has struggled to find consistency and assertiveness in crucial moments. Although he previously demonstrated greater confidence after last season's successful run, this season has shown a different Tatum—a player perhaps too reliant on the three-point shot and less aggressive in attacking the rim, decreasing his overall effectiveness. Bucher pointed out that Tatum’s evolution into predominantly a three-point shooter came at the expense of crucial mid-range and finishing capabilities.
