Despite the pervasive threat AI poses to many jobs, certain sectors appear more resistant. Trades such as plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC won't be easily replaced due to the hands-on, problem-solving nature of the work. Healthcare professionals, such as doctors and therapists, also remain relatively safe as the emotional and interpersonal aspects of their jobs can't be substituted by AI technologies.
Additionally, roles requiring a unique human element, especially those involving empathy or intricate craftsmanship, will likely remain intact for the foreseeable future. As Willis put it, "AI doesn't eliminate many jobs; it changes how they work."
