If humanity were to venture beyond the confines of our solar system, its motivations would likely center on three pillars: scientific exploration, resource acquisition, and the search for habitable planets in anticipation of Earth’s potential cataclysm.
Among these, scientific exploration remains achievable through unmanned robotic missions capable of garnering immense amounts of knowledge without requiring human presence. Conversely, the immediate need for resources is arguably still met by our solar neighborhood, where untapped materials exist on the Moon, Mars, and various asteroids.
