Part 3/11:
A Brief History of 7-Eleven
7-Eleven was founded in 1927 as an ice vendor in Dallas, Texas. Over the decades, it transformed into a general merchandiser, selling essential goods like eggs, bread, and milk. The Japanese retailer Ito Yokado, which has a rich history in Japan, stumbled upon 7-Eleven in the US and successfully introduced it to the Japanese market in the 1970s. By 2005, Ito Yokado had gained full ownership, and 7-Eleven became an integral part of Seven & i Holdings.
