Beyond 'Oumuamua, developments in technology promise to better prepare us for the next interstellar object. The Vera C. Rubin Observatory is set to become operational in 2025 and could potentially discover around 70 such objects each year, allowing us to observe them much sooner than we did with 'Oumuamua.
Additionally, the European Space Agency has planned the Comet Interceptor mission, aiming to position a probe to analyze a yet-to-be-identified object as it travels through the solar system.
