According to the researchers, these sounds result from the oscillations of gases within stars, which also contribute to their twinkling appearance. When simulating stars of various sizes, the differences in sound became apparent:
Massive Stars: Produce distorted sounds reminiscent of cosmic phenomena.
Medium Stars: Emit a murmur akin to the sound of rain.
Small Stars: Generate higher-pitched, almost strident sounds.
All of these were finely tuned to align more closely with familiar musical references, including the beloved children's song "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."
